Meet Our Team at Inside-Out Family Chiropractic

Chiropractor Juan Muñoz D.C.

Dr. Juan Muñoz has known from a young age that he wanted to help those around him. While growing up in Correctionville, IA where he attended River Valley High School, he knew he was going to dedicate his future studies to a field in healthcare. Not knowing which field he was called to be in yet, he enrolled to Simpson College in Indianola, IA. There he was able to shadow different medical fields and find the best one for him. He grew to love college courses in human physiology where he learned how the body functions and how complex and dynamic the body was created to be. And how the nervous system literally controls every function of your body. After shadowing different medical fields he was convinced that none of them were for him. He wanted to serve in a place that brought hope and natural healing without the use of drugs and surgery. Chiropractic is the largest natural, drug-less healing profession in the world.

Shortly after attending Simpson College Dr. Juan attended Palmer College of Chiropractic. The 1st chiropractic college and one of the most prestigious colleges in the nation. During his time in clinic he became the head intern in the Spanish Intern Program. Where he worked closely with the Hispanic population and the Palmer Clinic directors. He also not only excelled in school, but spent much of his time attending seminars around the country. Dr. Juan has extensive post-graduate training in pediatrics and pregnant women. He is certified in the Webster's technique and his experience working with pregnant women, babies and children allows him to provide the highest quality of care. He is currently pursuing a diplomat in Pediatrics.

Dr. Juan was blessed with the opportunity to bring Torque Release Technique (TRT) to Palmer College while in school. Being the founder and president of the TRT student club gave him a great opportunity to become advanced proficiency certified in Torque Release Technique and in the Fall of 2014 he was honored with the distinguished award of Fellow in the Torque Release Technique. Dr. Juan is one of eleven people in the world to receive such an award for his dedication and expertise in this highly scientific technique.

Dr. Juan moved to Newburgh, New York where he spent time serving at Innate Chiropractic, one of the largest chiropractic offices on the east coast, and the largest pediatric office in the state of New York. During his time there Dr. Juan worked with many practice members that suffered from multiple sclerosis, IBS, fibromyalgia, chronic pain, thyroid issues, sinusitis, and allergies. Kids with ADHD, asthma, scoliosis, and autism. Infants with colic, ear infections, and trouble feeding. After being under specific, scientific chiropractic care these practice members were able to heal naturally and get off many of their medications. Dr. Juan used his bilingual skills and worked closely with the Hispanic community in Newburgh.

Dr. Juan has returned to Sioux City, where he feels it is his mission to serve the people of Siouxland with Neurologically-Based Chiropractic Care, so that babies, children, and adults can find hope and healing from the Inside-Out as God designed it. His expertise and knowledge in the torque release technique, which has been proven through research to be the most specific, scientific technique in the world, allows him to provide gentle and effective adjustments that allow the body to heal itself with tremendous results. In his spare time Dr. Juan spends his time with his family, at church, fishing, and cheering on the Hawkeyes.

Chiropractor Alex Habeger D.C.

Chiropractor Sioux City IA Alex HabergerIn his middle school years, Dr. Alex knew that he wanted to pursue a career that was meaningful and fulfilling. It was as early as his freshman year of high school that he felt a calling to become a chiropractor, and after taking anatomy and physiology classes in high school, he knew it was the right fit. Dr. Alex has always held an interest in how the human body is made and how it functions, and his interest only grew through his undergraduate studies at Northwestern College in Orange City, IA and during his chiropractic schooling at Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, IA. This interest has since turned into a passion that he uses to help others become well.

Dr. Alex has been married to his wife, Ali, for 7 years, and he is the father of three children; Aylen, Kyeson, and Ensley. Ever since his first son (Aylen) was born he has had a love for bringing healing and wellness to children. This is something that a person can come to know as undeniable in Dr. Alex as he is always eager to interact with and play alongside the children he sees, and he works to help each one of them feel comfortable being in the clinic. And even though pediatric care is another strong passion for him, it has not been an easy road for the health of his own family.

Dr. Alex’s first-born son, Aylen, was born with severe heart defects known as “Shone’s Complex”, although this was unknown until he was 8 months old. At that point he needed immediate surgery to keep his heart from failing. This was a shock to his parents, but he thankfully had a successful surgery to repair the life-threatening defect, and his heart has been in good condition since. One year later Aylen was rushed to the Emergency Room for severe low blood sugar. He was able to recover from this event, but shortly afterward Dr. Alex and Ali noticed that their son’s behavior had become abnormal, and he was later diagnosed with Sensory Processing Disorder and developmental delays. Aylen was then put into occupational therapy, and for the next 1-2 years Dr. Alex and Ali searched for other things that would help him, especially through chiropractic. Then they discovered Functional Neurology chiropractic care. This care is designed to improve the difficulties that children have with developmental delays and disorders, and soon after Dr. Alex started using this specific care on Aylen they noticed great improvements in his sensory issues, anxiety, and developmental delays. Dr. Alex’s second-born son, Kyeson, had a week’s stay in the NICU after he was born due to issues maintaining his blood sugar and oxygen levels. He also has delays in his speech, which have been improving with Dr. Alex’s Functional Neurology care and speech therapy. Dr. Alex’s third child, Ensley, has not experienced any health hardships.

Dr. Alex has been a part of the Inside-Out team since August of 2019 serving as a Functional Neurology chiropractor. He hopes to bring the same great changes and hope to other families and children as he has seen in his own home. He enjoys using his spare time to spend quality time with his family, hunting, and outdoor activities.

Alyssa Muñoz - Office Manager

Hi! I am the office manager at Inside-Out Family Chiropractic and I am also Dr. Juan’s Sister! I have the honor to work alongside my brother to serve the community with natural health care and to restore hope to people in the Siouxland Community. It is in our hearts to serve your family so that you can achieve better health from the inside out through specific-scientific chiropractic care.

I have always had a heart to love and serve people and I want to encourage you as well. I look forward to serving you and your family and helping you live the life the way God intended you to!

My Chiropractic Story: My whole life I had suffered from frequent colds and having them for long periods of time. My headaches were the worst, I would get them about 2-3 times a week. I also suffered from terrible allergies and sinus issues, as well as ADD. I was on many medications for my ADD, as well as for my headaches, allergies, colds, and sinuses. In October of 2013 I had started principled chiropractic care for the first time under Dr. J. After three months my sinuses and allergies cleared up, my headaches were minimized to about once a month, if that. Haven’t got a cold since then! And I am happy to say that I am off all my medications! I am healthier than I have ever been and it is all because I chose specific-scientific chiropractic care! But I never really knew what principled chiropractic meant, I had always thought it meant the cracking and popping of the back. But it so much more than that because they get to the root cause of your health problems, instead of just covering up the symptoms! And I am able to achieve optimal health from above-down-inside-out, the way God intended!
